About The British Charitable Society The British Charitable Society welcomes new members who want to be part of our activities. Life membership in the Society is just $45. Membership includes: receiving the Society’s newsletter, which comes out, somewhat irregularly, three times a year; invitations to all social events, such as last summer’s garden party, and the recent pub night; the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting each May.
